In the past, buying a double loop wire binding machine meant choosing between either a 2:1 or a 3:1 pitch hole pattern.Manyusers liked the small and professional look offered by 3:1 pitch wire.However, 3:1 pitch double loop wire can only be used to bind documentsup to 9/16" thick. Companies who wanted to bind larger documents withwire had to settle for a 2:1 pitch wire machine or had to buy twobinding systems.The Akiles Wiremac Duo Combo changes this.It provides the ability to bind documents using both 2:1 and 3:1 pitchwire. This TABLETOP SOFT ICE CREAM MACHINE provides a great solution for organizations that need tobind both large and small documents.

Strengths / Features:

TheWireMac Duo Combo can produce two completely different hole patterns.It can punch a 3:1 pitch pattern with three square holes per inch. Thispattern can be used for finishing documents with 3:1 pitch wire-ospines, GBC Proclick reclosable spines and with 3:1 spiral coil. It canalso punch a 2:1 pitch hole pattern with 2 rectangular holes per inch.This pattern can be used with 2:1 pitch double loop wire and with 0.400pitch spiral coil. Thus, with two hole patterns it is possible to binddocuments with five different binding styles.The Wiremac-Duohas two separate punching throats that are fourteen inches in length.Both have open throats, continuous punching guides and fullydisengageable punching pins. This allows the WireMac Duo to punch anylength of document less than fourteen inches. Sheets that are longerthan 14" can still be punched. It just requires a two step process.Onthe right side of this machine there are two knobs for adjusting thedepth of the holes from the edge of your paper. The Wiremac Duo Combocan be set to punch the holes closer to the edge of the paper whenbinding thin documents and further from the edge when binding thickerbooks. This helps maximize the usability and strength of your bounddocuments.The WireMac-Duo also includes a heavy duty wireclosing device on the front of the machine. This wire closer is made ofhighly durable steel components and designed to maintain its accuracyafter thousands of binds. On the front of the wire closer there is alsoa set of wire hanging hooks that can be used to help hang your sheetsonto double loop wire spines.
